Air Combat Systems Officer ( ACSO )

Thanks for the help everyone. I've been killing the PD courses so far. Does anyone have any info on the TACP course? Or the JTAC... I forget which one ACSOs are eligible for.. That sounds like it might be an interesting path to take, just wondering if anyone knows first hand, knows a guy, etc...

Yeah I've tried digging in the 2CAD page as well as trying to find some of the schools pages but haven't had much luck.

Air Combat Systems Officer ( ACSO )

So I'm a winged ACSO looking for opportunities for courses I can take that would open up some career possibilities. Just wondering if there's a list of courses somewhere that breaks down which trade is eligible for what. I've tried searching around but it appears my DWAN-fu isn't the greatest...

    The Brookfield Megathread

I'm currently in Greenwood on a prohibited posting and just received a message for a restricted posting to Winnipeg. The Brookfield agent told me that I'm only entitled to move HG&E from my place of enrollment which is London unless I pay out of pocket for the uncovered amount. I know of three...

    The Brookfield Megathread

I understand what you mean but I'll clarify my situation. The posting that I am on at the moment is prohibited (received back in May). I just received a new message for a restricted posting to Winnipeg.

    The Brookfield Megathread

Good day. I have just started the process of a move to Winnipeg for course through Brookfield. When I went in today for my initial planning session, I was told that I would not be authorized movement of HG&E from my current location because I am on prohibited posting even though CFHA gave me a...

    Brass on Brass

Hi all, I was just wondering if there was an actual reference to wearing of the DEU belt in the "brass on brass" fashion, when the end of the belt meets the brass buckle. I've tried searching through the dress regs and QR&Os but could not find anything. Perhaps someone is more familiar with...

    non-common law living situation

Thank you for your reply. I have been reading things and interpreting it as though there would be an issue with a non-spouse or non-commonlaw person living in base accomodations. A couple of more questions if you don't mind: Are the row houses by the gym the best? cheapest? Is it a memo that we...

    non-common law living situation

Military me, civilian SO, going on ACSO course at the Nav school in Winnipeg in the near future. What are the chances that I will be able to get a PMQ/live off of base during this course? It's not a course like basic or CAP, so I feel like living off wouldn't be a huge issue. Regarding PMQ...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Hey, I'm looking into switching my degree program and was wondering if anyone has a copy/link to the chart that shows which degree programs are required/preferred/acceptable for each trade. For info, Trade: ACSO Current Program: Psychology Possibly change to: English Thanks troops.

    Class selection

It's not in any way necessary. Sure, it will help if you have a good base to start from, but I only had grade 9 French and I got accepted, and there's a lot of people here that are way worse than I am. By all means take the courses if you like, but it is not a requirement. As far as...

    ROTP 2011-2012

That is correct! I was also accepted for next year to St Jean so I've been doing as much research as I can. I suppose I'll see you in a few weeks. :salute:

    ROTP 2011-2012

RMC St Jean only accomodates for a 2 year program. The first year is a prep year, and is usually saved for Quebec students because their school structure is a bit different. The second year is first year of university. This would be why your recruiter said you do your first year at CMR and...

    Entering RMC this fall! (2011)

It's really hard to quote some of the things that recruiters tell you, because everyone seems to hear something different. The exact number I got was 473 acceptances out of ~3000. Whether or not that is more or less than normal is beyond me.

    Questions About RMC-Saint Jean

Well those are the holidays, so I assume we'll be able to leave campus. Not sure exactly at what point we can leave, whether it's sometime Friday afternoon or not until the Saturday morning or what, but we'll soon find out. Also if you live more than 500km away you can claim your travel with...

    Questions About RMC-Saint Jean

I'm no expert, but I believe I can help you in some way. First of all, it seems you are in the exact same boat as I am. I'm accepted into RMC St Jean as an ACSO as well, one year in Quebec, 3 in Kingston. So I will look forward to seeing you there. As far as holidays go, on the RMC St Jean...

    No call whatsoever?

I'll tell you exactly what the gentleman that administered my interview told me. "It's your file, make sure that you keep on top of it, call at least every couple of weeks to make sure they don't forget about you"
