Well, often when I'm up at Connaught during the Summers, they are running RES BMQ courses (I think) up there. Could be another course, but the kids are all pretty new at it. Connaught Ranges is just that...Ranges. Admin buildings, Mess, 5 shacks, the ACNSTC, a few shooting huts, and the RCMP's...

Really? Borden is a nice little base and all, but it's almost like doing BMQ at Connaught Ranges...

They conduct BMQ Courses at CFB Borden? I was unaware! Why would they bother to send me ALL the way to St-Jean (Not that I'm complaining), when it's a quick hop, skip and a jump to Borden?

Exactly. That's what this forum's for! People complain about the Recruiting process being lengthy.....imagine if all the Recruiting questions here, were directed to the CFRC instead?

I've seen the MARPAT stuff in Wal-Mart, but not CADPAT stuff yet. Probably see it more around bases though, Oshawa's far from any CFBs..

If I did BMQ at St. Jean, and was due for the 14-week course at Meaford, where would I be posted, IF sent to PAT Plt./PRETC? Meaford?

While up at Connaught Ranges, for the DCRA's NSCC, I was talking to Keith Cunningham, who is ex-CF, runs the Rifle side of NSCC, and just started his own Association the "OSA"...and he's under the impression that tha ACOG is a POS. He mentioned it not holding a Zero? I hear the EOTech's are...

I'm pretty sure that mask is made by Brass Eagle. I forget what the model's called, but they were known for having 360degree protection, and a wide field of view.

Best way to break them in when you get onto BMQ? I'm scheduled for Sept.10/07 @ St. Jean, but...I have no idea if I'll be issued Mk.IIIs, or WWBs. I'd imagine I'm going to have a very, very short time to attempt anything on them, before I start wearing them daily.

I know we'll be told this on course...but is there a leave period between BMQ and SQ? If not, how long is it, or can it be, until you are on course?

Got the call yesterday!!!! I knew I'd been accepted, as soon as the Clerk Cpl. said he was calling from CFRC Toronto. Only 51 days to go! Hope it goes by quickly! Can anyone from the earlier serials tell me if there was a bus to St.Jean, or did you guys have to cab it? Depending on the number...
