Even if Farnham IS taken out (which I think it is for my BMQ course in 4 days), it just means that the 10 week course will become a little more intense. Two weeks is nothing worth whining about.

If you've been merit listed, then you just have to be patient. A job will show up eventually, as long as everything is OK'd with your file. I know it's cliché, but "patience is a virtue"

You're going to be trained in the military regardless. It's your occupation. If you applied for NCM-SEP, then that's what you'll be Merit Listed for. If you didn't apply for NCM-SEP, then you're going to be going in as a regular Naval Weapons Tech.

I don't doubt that at all, but I figure it's safe to say that anybody going into a military career should get used to some "unconventional" timings, and last minute changes.

Be smart about it. Take the time you're waiting on that phone call to prepare. Mentally and physically. Start exercising, get into the right habits, it all just makes life easier for you at the end of it all.

This may come off as changing the current tune of this thread, but I see it as jumping back to the original premise behind the thread. Now that I've been sworn in, and everything is official, this all feels even more realistic. And now, I wait 11 days, wherein the waiting just may kill me lol...

Are you going in for Reserves or Reg. Force? Because, as far as I know, Reg. Force is given their kit on day 3 of BMQ.

Wow, I've been silently watching this thread for the last 2 weeks or so now, and I'm shocked it's still going on. People, it really makes no difference how long your "Introductory" course is. This is the primer before you paint, the underwear before your pants. Basically, this is just step one...
