    BMQ - PRes Full-time 32CBG (Toronto), Apr. 28 2024

You don't need to carpool. The CAF will pay for your flight or train ticket, or your gas if you tell them you want to drive.

    Current BMQ swipe system

It actually sounds like it hasn't changed that much in the last 15 years. 6 bad swipes and you were recoursed, and good swipes are a thing but they don't cancel out the bad ones.

    Flight To BMQ

U Unless you tell your CFRC that you want to drive, they should either fly you from Toronto or put you on a train to Montreal. From there there is a shuttle bus to take you to St Jean.

    Application Process Samples [ 2019-present]

And that's the caveat/exception I'm referring to. The member has to be available, but if the CAF cancels the course on them or they get injured and can't go on course, it is not held against them.

    Application Process Samples [ 2019-present]

There are exceptions, as always. As long as the member tries to be available, it’s not held against them if it takes 3 years. I personally knew one reservist who had almost 8 years in and had not completed their QL4. Whatever. It doesn’t matter what I say. Good luck in your BMQ and future...

Men at age of 45 joining the army

Only one factor of their medical is higher and that is the Air factor. Yes there are certain meds that will ground you as air crew, possibly certain conditions. But pilots are typically in their late 30s by the time they are done their training. There is a reason why their contract is something...

Men at age of 45 joining the army

Both men AND women can join the forces at any age, as long as they can finish their initial contract before they turn 60. Contract length varies by trade. Your age is not a factor in your competitiveness, other than you will have a few more medical tests to do.

    FSA in Air Force Reserves

Financial services advisor (it's the new name along with HRA from when they split the trade back in 2016). They are the ones that do claims, while the HRAs do pay and file management.

The hearing standards can be found here: Hearing Standards The minimum common enrolment standards are V4/CV3/H2/G2/O2/A5 so the minimum hearing category is H2.

    FSA in Air Force Reserves

Why? FSA is an all elements trade, meaning they are found in the army, navy, and air force. They are equally as important to all 3. Air Reserve has a different application process than army or navy reserve, so that's really the only difference. You desk and job will be the same regardless. They...

    Reserves Medical Query

Just FYI - hearing issues aren't usually noticed by people until they get to the hearing aid stage. Otherwise, people just assume they were not paying attention to the conversation , or the timbre/volume of a specific person's voice just doesn't register as quickly. Make sure your ear canal is...

Fitness for Operational Requirements of CAF Employment ( FORCE )

    Application Process Samples [ 2019-present]

As a reservist you won’t have to deal with a short timeline between swearing in and BMQ. Your BMQ will either be full time in the summer or part time in the fall. If full time doesn’t work for you then you know it will be a few months before you do BMQ. And BMQ will be every other weekend so...

    36y/o m nurse offered Log - advice?

Just to offer the opposite point of view, it’s also possible the applicant doesn’t want nursing as a career. They did mention civilian nursing wasn’t what they thought it would be. As much as we are dying for healthcare, I prefer to have nurses (and officers in general) who love what they do.

    education requirements to join

Security clearance from other departments still has to be redone for the forces. As you probably already know, different federal departments don't like sharing info. You can choose whatever trade you want to do. They won't stop you from applying for those unless your degree is completely...

    CFAT result

For reserves it depends how many officers they have that need BMOQ in that articular Brigade. Typically you'll be loaded onto a BMQ with the rest of the recruits in your brigade, either part-time in the fall or in the spring, or full time in the summer. Then there will be a separate mod just for...

    Competition list clarification

There is a difference between calling once a week or every 2 weeks and calling hourly or daily. Once in a while is fine. Hourly or daily is irritating.
