Trav was by far one of the best #1's I've ever worked for on the guns, always looked out for us troops below him and always managed to keep up morale while keeping us motivated.
Outside of work he was always a hilarious outgoing happy guy, still can't believe it.
RIP to all 3 men :cdn: :salute:
Many people have scars marks and tattoos on their bodies , if it does not affect your ability to work I wouldnt worry too much about it.
I'm not sure what the exact (if any)regulations and steps taken are for potential recruits with such past issues. But if you're all good now I can't see it...
If you knew he was faking it... why did you give him a chance?
And yes if true, this is obviously not acceptable behavior and would result in harsh disciplinary action if caught.

Everyone in the Regiment is constantly moving around and changing positions, As a Gunner you have to be willing to grind it out in an unfavorable condition if that's what role the regiment needs you to fill for a while. You will never be "stuck" forever in the same role, that I can guarantee in...
A very brief description:
Recce - They go scout out the gun position and set up gun markers for when the guns come barreling in. They also set up and work the director which is how the guns are aimed.
Command Post- They communicate with everyone and give the guns all of the fire orders...
Don't forget there's also some interesting positions in the gun line batterys BHQ troop that have nothing to do with working on the guns. Recce, Command Post, Pronto,MT,QM, BC party etc.. These positions do take an amount time on the gunline to be selected for usually though.
Sounds quite a bit different from BMQ as far as the schedule goes, usually 12-14 weeks (first 4 CB'd) the rest are 5 day weeks starting at 0500 going to 2300.
Not to mention that if you're going infantry you WILL want to be in good shape.
You can reflect on how much easier it is this time and call them lucky :warstory: I would not worry about it tho, the age/gender/race differences on my BMQ never seemed to be a problem.
There are many outlets available. A few people did that on my BMQ just keep it in your pers box or spare kit bag. If you're that worried you could write a memo. And remember it's all a game :P
