Everyone but two guys in my class did get what we asked for. It was a pretty even distribution between the CERs and 4 ESR, plus a handful going as base CE (Construction Engineers) all over Canada, a couple posted to MCE (Mapping and Charting Establishment) and a couple posted to 1 ESU.

I did my phase 3 with Cross, I work with another female Lt in my squadron at 5 CER, and have one female sapper in my troop. They're all pretty awesome. I also happen to be female. So there you go, fire your questions away.

CE is an air force trade (formerly known as Airfield Engineers), so you might have more success on the air force boards. What I can tell you since I'm hanging around CEs-in-training all the time, is that you don't need your P.Eng. to be a CE, but it's always a good idea for extra credibility...

From what I can gather, you'll be ahead of most of the other candidates with the preparation you have now. So with another three months of that, you'll be just fine. Make sure you give yourself some decent time to heal, because once you're in the training system, it might be just one course...

Seulement sur ton QMB, tu n'aura pas la même arme pour toute la durée du cours. Tu auras tes cours d'armes avec la C7A2 au début et c'est ce que tu utiliseras pour le champ de tir, puis tu la redonnes à la voute, et reçoit une C7A1 pour le reste du cours. I just want to update saying I graduated BMOQ with flying colours! 2nd top candidate, top female athlete and platoon commander on parade.  ;D So yeah, the army is being good to me, I'm having a blast with the boys and now I'm posted to CFSME waiting for CAP. Good stuff.  :camo:

I just finished week 11 of my BMOQ, and the only official presentation we had to do was a 5 min speech on the topic of our choice. Which was after, of course, several powerpoint lectures on the topic... but then you spend weeks learning the Battle Procedures, which includes issuing your orders...
