Recovery Drink (that doesn't cost $50 from beachbody.com...)

Really?  The validity of your claim is that you got it from a website and word of mouth from some students... credible references.  I was considering something more like this: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC25140/...

Recovery Drink (that doesn't cost $50 from beachbody.com...)

Again, I was quoting a number off of a label.  I never made a claim of ingesting 35 g of protein in the first place.  It was illustrating cost.  Also, I didn't argue that it was more cost effective, my words were "pretty cost competitive".  I don't know how you missed that.  ;) Anyway, do you...

Recovery Drink (that doesn't cost $50 from beachbody.com...)

Some do have pretty big ingredient lists, no doubt.  The Kaizen I mentioned has 5 (cocoa, stevia, sucralose and soy lecithin are the others).  Of course most food at the supermarket has non natural ingredients.  I agree that most supplement companies make insane claims about results.  The more...

Recovery Drink (that doesn't cost $50 from beachbody.com...)

I'm not sure what your point is with your first post.  35 g is the amount per scoop from the container and was simplest to do the math.  35 g/serving is pretty large, most protein powders have serving sizes in the 25g range which is why I use the smaller scoop from another protein powder instead...

Recovery Drink (that doesn't cost $50 from beachbody.com...)

Since whey protein is extracted from milk, I don't see how it's not natural.  Also, unless you're taking an ultra expensive protein powder, it's pretty cost competitive with milk as far as protein goes.  For instance, a scoop of Kaizen Whey Isolate has 35g of protein, about the same amount as in...

Recovery Drink (that doesn't cost $50 from beachbody.com...)

Chocolate milk is a pretty good one.  I've never had any problems with drinking milk post-workout, but you might, I can't say.  Egg whites are pretty easy to digest.  Whey protein can be pretty affordable if you don't go for the really expensive, heavily marketed types.  You know, the ones with...

    Putting on weight

While I agree with some of your suggested food choices (and others I don't), chicken breast, fish, lean meet and egg whites can all be successfully used while putting on weight.  All that really matters to put on weight is taking in more calories than you burn.  Of course, ensuring they are...

    CH-148 Cyclone Progress

Yeah, but also consider that other the aircraft you've described are completely from scratch new airframes, the CH-148 isn't. I talked with a TACCO who was just down in Florida checking out 806.  Apparently he didn't find the back end layout too impressive.  Not that it will matter much for a...

CF Members and time alloted for PT

Agreed, the PSP have to provide the minimum and incentive level for the test. The only motivator for performance on the EXPRES test for most people is either to make the pass or to meet the incentive level in order to have 2 years before having to do the test again.  A few are motivated for the...

CF Members and time alloted for PT

Yes, it's in the CO's Policy on Physical Fitness which is a published order.  I'll PM you.

CF Members and time alloted for PT

My CO gives 1 hour per day plus travel time (walk over, change, shower after) for PT at the gym.  There are certain activities that this is not permitted to interfere with (flights, trainers), but generally the guys get more that enough time to go to the gym.  We also have an incentive program...

Air Combat Systems Officer ( ACSO )

That won't prolong the wait.  International students are only taken when there is excess training capacity.  If we need ACSOs there won't be international students loaded on the course.  AFAIK, the next ACSO course has the last international student for the foreseeable future, as we are getting...

Physics Degree in the Air Force

I checked with the guys upstairs at CFSAS, and from what they're saying upstairs they are continuing to negotiate with U of M.  The setup they're exploring is that for the M.Eng. you'll have to do a few extra courses as well as a thesis.  Apparently some of the ASC project work would count...

Physics Degree in the Air Force

They've been trying to get the accreditation for an M.Eng., from what I understand.  I can walk upstairs tomorrow and ask.

Just an FYI, ASC doesn't get you an MEng, it's an MPA (Master of Public Administration).

    Putting on weight

I like eye of the round for beef.  It's lean, much leaner than a New York cut (~6% vs ~20% fat by weight), and pretty inexpensive.  Usually I try to stick with deer, moose and caribou, but sometimes it gets a little scare.  I'm rationing out my remaining deer and moose right now.

Physics Degree in the Air Force

Very true.  Would it be against the fire orders to bring bottle of compressed hydrogen gas into the school?  ;)  There are a lot of gyro parts.

Physics Degree in the Air Force

As has been alluded to, entering the CF hoping for a career where you'll be able to gain substantial experience working in physics is probably going to be disappointing.  Like gcclarke said, the CF has PG opportunities where they will send you to school for a specific program and then post you...

    Putting on weight

A guy weighing 125 lbs eating 4000-5000 calories a day is going to put on a substantial amount of fat.  That's between 32 and 40 cal/lb, which is almost double what any healthy "bulking" routine would require.  Most guys trying to put on muscle efficiently are going to run at around 20 cal/lb...
