Chretien refused to fly on a Sea King?

Correct information is that the Sea King could not accommodate the passenger list. Bishop 22 was the bird with RIMPAC. Later in the exercise it ditched and HMAS Adelaide took the crew off who didn't get their feet wet, before the helo tipped and sank.

Chretien refused to fly on a Sea King?

This story about PM Chretien refusing to fly in a Sea King is completely false and probably lower deck scuttle butt. Art Eggleton was Minister of National Defence and visited RIMPAC 2002. He was scheduled to be flown out to the USS Abraham Lincoln. Initially he was to use an RCAF Sea King...

    Change of forum title

It would be more descriptive to change the title of this thread to Cadets/COATS or COATS/Cadets as the CIC Branch is only a part of the COATS Reserve Force sub-component.

    OCdt Speaks at Freedom Rally

And so goes the ridiculous and discriminatory pecking order brought on by generalizations, ignorance, bias, attitude, and stupidity that is a threat to everyone's glass house.  There are those that would consider musicians, chaplains, legal and medics, not real military.  Then there is the...

    OCdt Speaks at Freedom Rally

I have it on good authority that he is untrained, is listed as NES (non-effective) and is in the process of being released.  He has apparently "returned" his kit very recently.  ;).  Hopefully this little bit of noise has passed.

    OCdts in Leadership Positions Discussion

TLDR: I treated the soldiers with respect; they returned the favour by politely mentoring me. Transferring Elements?

There is no reason that your CO should not support your desire to change cadet elements.  A cadet is a cadet is a cadet regardless of sea, army, or air.  The programs are the same with the exception of the elemental interests of sailing, adventure, and flight.  The mission is the same … "To...

    Current Flag Officers

In addition to being "at the table" they are runnng the show as is the case with the CAF General at NORAD.  It was an RCN Capt that led the watch on 9/11 and cleared the skies over North America.
