In that way, you could actually major in Bio rather than minor, and in a university which has a longer-running history with such programs. I doubt it is something held against you if time is used well. High school is a great resources so take advantage of it while you can, because you can't once you're older.

I dunno, it seems like you do have a lot of life experiences that make them want you as a candidate, like you've done things during your life that give extra qualifications.
