Folks:
We have now taken delivery of all 4 tails and have them parked at YTR.
703 arrived in YTR on Thursday evening (8 May).
704 arrived on Friday evening (9 May).
It will be a rare day that we'll see all 4 parked together on the ramp - they'll always be out flying and one will most likely...
Here's a quick snapshot of 2 ADATS that we picked up from Fredericton and moved to Cold Lake for 4 AD the other day.
A 5.5 hour flight.
While it only shows 2 systems on board, we are actually capable of carrying 3.
This was the first time we lifted and moved the Canadian ADATS.
Our second aircraft is off the assembly line and out of the paint shop.
Here is a quick snapshot of it undergoing some final preparation before it begins the acceptance test flight protocols.
Delivery is still scheduled for Oct 11th.
While we flew our first "humanitarian" mission only 11 days after delivery .......
The first "operational mission" launched out of Trenton just 14 days after official delivery ceremonies on Sunday 12th Aug.
It landed in Kandahar 17 days after the ceremonies.
92,000 lbs of freight in one...

The CAS has signed the "release to service" and the POAC [Provisional Operational Airworthiness Certification] today (Fri 20th July).
Mtg commenced at 1300 hrs and was over at 1410 hrs. He was very excited about achieving this milestone.
Once again, another good "air force" day.

Folks:
Here are a couple of shots of our first tail (P-177) hitting the paint shop. It is still scheduled for the acceptance test flights in the July timeframe and delivery in Aug 07.
The second tail, P-180, should be somewhere on the first half of the assembly line right now and is still...

We are still set for an August 2007 delivery of this first tail.
For all those former bisons out there ................
Instead of the C-17 becoming a "flight" of 437 Sqn, the CAS has recently decreed that 429 Sqn will be stood back up and reactivated as the CC177 squadron.
This should occur on or around 18-20 July 07.
A good reason to go and spill some...
