I agree with Ed.  If you really love this guy, then give him some space.  He sounds a bit down and who wouldn't be, seeing what he is seeing daily.  What you can do is continue to e-mail him, friendly newsy type e-mails, (or better yet, snail mails with little things/goodies like the newspaper...

I agree.  I'm busy looking for some cams for my grandson (he's 9 months)... can't wait to take him to work (I work at the Base) to show him off.  I even have a cute little beret for him (no hat badge) :)

Also keep in mind that if the PMQs there are anything like the ones here, they are old dwellings and aren't always insulated good enough and the heating costs are very very high.  Even if the rent is lower than other accomodations, the heat bills alone will raise the cost of living in one to...

The Army Cadet League of Canada has lowered the qualifying time for the Service Medal to 4 years.  Annoying to me (lol) because I'm with a provincial league and made up a bunch of blank certificates.  Now I have to throw those ones out and make more.
