'k. How 'bout the Windsor, 87th Ave and 117th Street (just west of the Butterdome)? 20-25 minutes from the airport, excellent pizza, lots of different beers on tap, not too busy on Friday nights, and quiet enough that you can hear the person across the table from you without them screaming.
I should be able to make it for the 16th. As to where -- does it make sense to get some idea where Sig_Des is billeted, and use that as a starting point?
I bought a 1942 Long Branch at Lock'n'Load just a few weeks ago... I was so jazzed to find one in good shape that didn't think to get it headspaced and whatnot at the time. The bolt and receive s/n don't match, so it's probably a real good idea, as you say.
What does Blair charge to slug a rifle?
When are you going to the range? If it's early (and a still-a-civilian w/ FAC is allowed on the range)
I could bring a coupla non-restricted boomsticks along.
I do believe I can make it to St. Albert on the 12th... it'd be great to put some faces to names after reading Army.ca for months. Can't get too boisterous, though, cause I'm running the ING Marathon the next day.
I know Marstar, but not Wolverine... where are they located? Do they have a website?

contains what looks to be the PWT standards.
Thanks, Murph and Ralph, for your forthright replies. I feel much better knowing that not everybody joining is a sharp-as-nails 22 year old who can run 4-minute miles all day.
Congratulations, guys... now drop and give me 20! :D
If I may ask --- how old are you guys who‘ve been accepted as combat arms officers? I‘m trying to figure out if I have a chance of getting my thirty-cough year old butt in.
Hi folks,
Having recently started considering joining the CF, this board has been a Godsend in getting a feel for what‘s what; thanks to everyone for many enlightening comments. I‘m starting to narrow down my list of MOCs, and was hoping to find out more about the life of a Signals Officer...
