When I went through that stage, I was told that the file had to go to Toronto (or was it Borden?) and there were only three doctors reviewing the hundreds of files coming through. I think my file took about six weeks to return to my recruiting centre. So, chin up, you should hear something soon.

Yes. Bring lunch! For me, there was waiting. Then the test. Then waiting while everyone finished, the tests were marked, and the results tallied.  Then waiting. Then interviews. Make sure you have a good breakfast so that your neurons are firing properly for your test.  ;) Good luck!

I get sworn in the same day and location and I have the same course number (0253). As stated above, it would be interesting to see what it (the course number) means.

Army is the only element that has a special BMQ for reserves. The other reserve elements have reg force BMQ.

I would love to chat and sip tea before getting to BMQ but I cannot chat as my only computer access is at work. However, if those who are going to Borden Oct. 3 would like to drop me a line, that would be great!  :)

This is all heresay, but I have heard that sometimes they can start you on the course without your top top secret clearance (whatever it may be called) because the beginning portion of course material does not require it. I guess it is hoped that by the time you get to the super-restricted...

It is my understanding that for the Reserves, it's possible to do a trade course before SQ, if that's how the timing works out. Does the Reg Force work this way, too? For example, I just learned that the next trade course that I could possibly be on is in January 2006. I have been merit listed...

I am a 291 wanna-be waiting for "the call". I am quite looking forward to starting all of my training and was hoping that someone might have an idea of when the next 291 trade course might start? It is my understanding that any job offer would be delayed until the start dates of my BMQ and SQ...

Does anyone know how much it costs to live in barracks in Kingston (room and board)? Thanks!
