    New Dress Regs 🤣

Meh... I had a random dude thank me for being a peacekeeper... I was simply wearing a blue RCAF beret. Black boots belong on parades, and in history books.

Haitian leaders must all agree before Canada would lead a potential military intervention, Trudeau says

It depends on how, where, and when... The Highway of Heroes points to the public caring, just not caring when things aren't shoved in their faces.

Little bit of Naval Aweseome (HMCS OTTAWA ships moral badge)

He also has some serious time underway for a killick. I love that the CAF is starting to lean into the First Nations heritage of Canada more, it's well worth celebrating.

Haitian leaders must all agree before Canada would lead a potential military intervention, Trudeau says

You're assuming he gives a F about the CAFs problems. Maybe he wants to pressure the government to cause the CAF to fail, so it's public and can't be ignored by voters anymore.

    Updated Army Service Dress project

I think a lot of people forget that, or try to wish it away. The CAF makes it simple by clearly stating what people need to wear, and look like. In the civilian world they leave it unspoken, but the standard still exists.

Regardless of what people are saying, smart expectation management is to not expect anything more until 2026. That way, if for some reason the word from your CHRA is correct, it's a pleasant surprise.

This strikes at the heart of one of the CAF's overarching problems, our byzantine processes for every simple thing. The GoC and CAF have never seen an issue they can't make worse with additional process, all bottlenecked at a couple of desks.

    New Dress Regs 🤣

It is interesting... some appear closer to the belt line than the breast pocket, while others are almost touching the nametag. This last Remembrance Day was the first time I wore a navy DEU jacket, so I pulled out a ruler and measured the command badge position based on the dress regs.

    New Dress Regs 🤣

There are navy DEU people who work in different commands, like CMP, ADM Mat, CFINTCOM, etc., so they need to wear the appropriate command badge.

    New Dress Regs 🤣

That is what I have noticed as well, it's not so much that people are choosing to have long hair and beards, it's that they look scruffy rather than put together.

That was the point of "good enough"... My point was also that the West as a collective needs to do this, not Canada all alone. The West has had the luxury of decades of not needing to fight full scale wars, so our military development naturally has gone down the route of making a small...

The CMP Command CWO did a Chief's Coffee at the C&POs in Ottawa, and made it very clear that TB already thinks we are well compensated, so they had little appetite to increase our compensation. He also pointed out that the TB doesn't care if the CAF is short 7K or 17K pers, there is no appetite...

    New Dress Regs 🤣

He's apparently a recruiter, so the badge is correct, if a bit high on the pocket. Hardly a major dress infraction, and one the public would never notice. You want to have a fun time with command badge placement, look at the navy DEU... there is no pocket, so they end up in some weird places.

    New Dress Regs 🤣

Some people aren't really into the new rules.... I think that we will see some limits come back eventually, particularly if the public decides we don't look "professional" enough.

That's my point, we need someone right now to be sitting down and designing a tank that acne be mass produced on a rapid scale, that is "good enough". Realistically, not just tanks, but aircraft, ships, and other systems. We don't necessarily need to make and use them in limited conflicts like...
