I'm seriously wondering how junior NCMs live in Ottawa and Comox (and a few other places, but those two being particularly nuts for housing and no PLD).
I keep expecting another "Cold Lake panhandler" or a "family forced into bankruptcy" article in the media - I'm actually a bit shocked that...
The American...Army? Navy? Marines? Air Force? Space Force? Coast Guard?
Is the intent for the RCAF to switch to the new pattern as well once it's rolled out?
Oh, I'd say around May/June (maybe July?) when the CAF blew the whistle on treatment in Long Term Care homes. That's not even a year ago.
Or when the CAF went to dig out Newfoundland during the last big snowstorm.
Or any OP LENTUS mission, really.
Or any Search and Rescue-related articles...
The hilarious part to me is that the RAAF ranks for 2Lt and Lt equivalent are Pilot Officer and Flying Officer regardless of trade, but no one seems bothered about that.
Not sure if their ranks of Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman and Leading AC/ACW will change as well, like ours did.

Step 1: Be really far from friends
Step 2: Be (relatively) close to potential adversaries
Step 3: Have some former adversaries attack your cities like Darwin and Sydney
I've said this before, but the RCAF could have just copied the USAF or USN's jackets (with precedent since the old RCN aviator jackets were the same).
But no, whoever designed them purposely made them fugly.
So seniors don't need to get food, clothing, or services? Maybe they also need to get their phones fixed or what not. Many of them don't have support networks to do that sort of stuff for them.
Leather jackets will certainly solve that problem! :sneaky:

It's probably an April Fool's joke, but if not...
How well (or not) are our allies retaining NWO-equivalent officers? Is not wanting to stay in the trade just an RCN thing, or is it prevalent throughout allied nations?
