Given the recent moves by the government to honour No. 2 Construction Battalion CEF with it being linked in perpetuation to 4 Engineer Support Regiment, wouldn't it be a smart idea to have a somewhat like-named unit formed under 5th Division/6 Canadian Combat Support Brigade as a reserve-only...
Quick question: I have looked all over the Internet to find information about what happens when a ship's captain boards his own ship while at port. Naturally, a side party is there to pipe him aboard, but how is the captain verbally hailed when he boards the ship by the QMOW/BMOW. Is it by...
Strange thought just came to me when I glanced over the latest edition of Your Navy Today, where there's a small note about some naval engineering officers graduating from HMS Sultan in the UK:
If NWOs get their own "wings" now, why can't MSEOs and NCSEOs? Maybe mix the NWO badge with crossed...
Honestly, I hope so; that's got to be the most peaceful "war" happening in the world right now.
Personally, I agree to the suggestion of some to split Hans Island in half, west half to Nunavut, east half to Greenland. There, problem solved!

Her Majesty's Canadian Ship Beaumont-Hamel...
Honestly, if people are SO stupid that they'd refuse a PROVEN vaccine to protect themselves from a deadly pandemic, the sooner they're out of the CF the better. Never mind the whole "refuse a superior officer's direct order" thing, we don't NEED that level of STUPIDITY in the military!
Sad for Suffield, but I can understand why the British are moving to clear out of the area if they wish to reorientate to a more "global" posture; after all, our corner of the world is rather quiet in comparison to the Middle East and eastern Europe.
Still, it would be good for 1 CMBG to spread...
Much that I admire all the work that the Dutch do when it comes to shipbuilding, I have to admit they're NOT so original when it comes to NAMING said ships. Honestly, recycling names again and again and again gets...well, BORING!
Personally, so am I. I just wish that the government would do something about getting more shipyards involved so we could get hulls into the water faster; not just the Type 26s but the AOPS, the JSS and everything else.
