Canadian: Air Passenger bill of rights [Merged]

I've had little trouble flying with Air Canada. Never lost any luggage with them, but I find their customer service agents and their flight attendants are jaded and rude. I've flown with LIAT, Solomon Airlines, Air Vanuatu, Lufthansa and Air New Zealand. I would have to say that Air NZ was the...

And expensive too. I heard they they overloaded the paint so much that it adds extra weight to the plane, which in turn costs more fuel.  ;)

Advantages of having "semi-skilled" added to my file.

Benjamins?! We haven't been annexed by the Americans yet... Let's hope we keep using our dead Prime Ministers for a long time to come.  ;D

Hillier says Forces in 'war for talent' to boost ranks - CP

The country just doesn't take its military history seriously.

Advantages of having "semi-skilled" added to my file.

Hi everyone. I have a question for you? I'm interested in the Traffic Technician MOC. I've already written my CFAT and I'm going for my medical next week. I've already worked in this capacity as a civilian at an airport in the Maritimes serving three airlines. I mentioned this to the Corporal on...

Hillier says Forces in 'war for talent' to boost ranks - CP

I think the misconception many Canadians think still is that Canada's military role is and always will be non-combat role. The country just can't seem to get their minds into the fact that we a military trained to fight. And there is still the idea that the Americans or the Brits will defend us...

Pay: Statements, Backpay, Benefits, Deductions (Taxes, T4), Deployed ect... [MERGED]

Hey apologize for my remarks. I don't mean to offend. And I do want to serve my country. I'm not in it for the money. It's just with today's standard of living in some parts of the country, that could make things tight. I don't live an extravagant lifestyle by any means..... I live by myself in...

Would you like to put a ‘Support our troops’ ribbon on your own vehicle?

I see them all over Fredericton. Unfortunately, my workspace isn't very keen on my application to the CF (they don't like long absences), so I'm considering going reg force and to hell with them.  ;D

Pay: Statements, Backpay, Benefits, Deductions (Taxes, T4), Deployed ect... [MERGED]

I'm having second thoughts about joining up after seeing the pay scale. A private only makes $30K? Does that increase at all after BMQ?  No offense to those currently serving at this rank, but I make almost $8K more in my civilian job. That's a huge cut before promotion to Corporal, which takes...

Paying rent and bills while in the CF

I'm being careful with my finances for this reason. I don't have a lot of debts, except for student loan and credit card. The student loan will hopefully be 50% paid off if my tuition rebate goes through which all indications say that it is.

Paying rent and bills while in the CF

Not really. I thought it might be like the RCMP (don't get paid while in training), who get paid after training.  :)

Paying rent and bills while in the CF

Hi. I wrote my CFAT today and was asked if I wanted to pursue the Traffic Technician trade for the Air Force branch. Question: I'm working full-time now and paying rent, bills, student loans etc. I also have 5 months left on my lease.  Does the CF offer some sort of compensation while in...

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

The first time I wrote my CFAT test I didn't score as high as I wanted for the ATIS trade. I decided to put my application on hold and try again. I put it off for a bit, so the recruiting center called me, four times. I was told that's a good sign. It means they want you to try and pass again...
