Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

I've noticed the same thing. Mine was taxed at 39% prior to Jan. The latest statement has it taxed at 44%.

DEO Pay Scale, Promotion = Pay Decrease?

Here's how it works... On the day you're promoted, the pay system will look at your rate of pay the day prior to promotion. It will then take the difference between PI basic and PI 1 of your new rank and add this amount to your rate of pay prior to promotion. The resulting amount will likely...

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

Wow! That's all I can say. My whole point was that PLD is UFN, which I interpret to mean freeze. I cited my reasons in post #29. You can take them for what they are or move along.

    Annual Pay Increase for 2011

Yes, really. I have not said, anywhere, that the CF should go looking to finalize an increase prior to PS negotatiatons. In my original post, I stated that some PS have an increase in the works, which means we will would likely get one eventually. My quote that you used was in response to...

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

They did it prior to 2010. Looks like you missed the point and your circular reasoning adds nothing. Releasing msgs is what we do in the military. And annual PLD msgs were the normal course of action prior to the freeze.

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

After the updated PLD methodology there was a msg released in 2008 (CANFORGEN 061/08 - CMP - 311241Z MAR 08) that specified PLD rates. In 2009, another msg (CANFORGEN 090/09 - CMP - 141802Z MAY 09) was released that specified PLD rates (Note: the rates didn't change from 2008, but the 2009 rates...

    Annual Pay Increase for 2011

    I don't recall claiming differently.

    Annual Pay Increase for 2011

You're arguing semantics. I've been in unions before, worked towards new collective agreements, and understand how they work. The pay tables increase to reflect inflation (typically not on par though). A primary argument by unions for the increase is inflation. If you don't want to refer to that...

Getting separated need help with paperwork?

Common law isn't the same as marriage. Different laws apply and differ from each province. The following link may help you out: http://www.common-law-separation-canada.com/ A separation period only exists for divorce. With common law, the relationship ends when you split up.

Getting separated need help with paperwork?

Pensions, savings accounts and spousal support (aka equalization) are not under the purview of the CF. Nor is child maintenance. All fall under Family Law. Other than getting her removed as a spouse/dependent/beneficary on your CF pers file, your orderly room can not provide the services you...

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

People need to heed the above; and also remember that many other factors are also considered. The biggest problem with PLD right now is that the rates haven't been updated since 2009. It's supposed to be done annually.

    Operational Service Medals?

The OSM-Exp is listed on my MPRR, but I haven't physically received the medal yet.

    Annual Pay Increase for 2011

It's hard to say. On the one side, it's possible that all the budget cuts could impact a pay increase for us. On the other side, some PS folks have seen a cost of living pay increase, which means we should see one eventually. I'm not banking on it though. I wouldn't be highly surprised if we...

    Pay Raise Date (IPC)

There's a difference between the day that you stood in front of the CO and got promoted and the effective date of that promotion on paper. If you're a DEO, then your commission promotion date is effective the day of your enrolment. Your IPC date is one year from this date. As a A/SLt or 2Lt, and...

    Pay problem on CT

I performed a CT from the ResF to the RegF as an A/SLt. My qualifying service granted over two years in rank, gave me pay incentive 2 in the RegF and an EPZ to SLt the date of enrolment. Due to missing qualifications, I wasn't promoted to SLt on enrolment, but I was promoted over a year later...
