What happens if for whatever reason someone isn’t granted secret clearance while at BMQ? I’m assuming just sent on your way but not sure, not thinking it will be an issue but I really don’t know how hard it is to get a secret clearance. I’m a bit older so a lot more to go through I’m guessing.

What happens if you get injured just prior to bmq? Do they reschedule you or do you have to start the process over??

I’m NCM-Gunner, so I’m not too sure why that wasn’t an option for you🤷‍♂️

Thanks PuckChaser✌️ Definitely no problem pulling my own weight and working hard, also would never use my age as an excuse for anything. Appreciate your response and agree about the “culture shock” however knowing the ages etc prior to is a big help.

I’ve joined the CAF as a gunner at the age of 47, mind you I’m in the best shape of my life currently. I’m curious as to what people think about my age and how I’d fair on dp1 and training post BMQ?
