    Royal Marines Hazing Video

When an instructor puts the boots to a guys head, I'd say they've crossed the line. Way over the line.

Hunter, HMCS Bonaventure was scrapped by Trudeau, not the Conservatives.

    sleeping apnea

I wouldn't be giving up the machine. #1 'cause nobody sleeps in one position all night and, #2 there is a huge corelation between having sleep apnea and strokes. Can't recall exact stats, but it is something like 75% of those who've had strokes also have sleep apnea. Little bit on the news...

    Army Undergarments

Having not been in the CF since the days of white boxers, I can't comment on the new stuff. However, I will emphatically state that the "fly" in any piece of underwear is more of a pain, literally, than its worth. Nothing worse than having your danglies get stuck! :crybaby: I must admit though...

    FWSAR (CC130H, Buffalo, C27J, V22): Status & Possibilities

Having just finished SAREX '05 in Summerside, I can say that the FWSAR program is in great hands...a Colonel who will make an excellent politician when the time comes. :crybaby: Oh, and he isn't aircrew.

    FWSAR (CC130H, Buffalo, C27J, V22): Status & Possibilities

Until the GPS packs it in. It is far from the be all and end all. For RW SAR the RAF operated for years with either a Nav or AEOp in the left-hand seat. Support helicopters the same, Chinook, Puma. Dumping important crew positions such as FE for "budgetary" reasons is ridiculous. Safety should...

    Goose Bay: Promises & updates

Not sure how Shearwater could be expanded/upgraded. Wasn't the long runway and 3/4 of the land sold to private interests a few years ago? As for the government saying they'll NOW pay to upgrade runway in Goose, its too late. They refused when the RAF asked, which is why the Mob left a couple of...

    FWSAR (CC130H, Buffalo, C27J, V22): Status & Possibilities

The only superiority CASA/EADS has in this competition is marketing, including the "write your MP" tactic. :rage:

    The Seal Hunt Mega-Thread

Wouldn't matter, all shots to the head. As regards the club being inhumane, its the same idea as the bolt shot through a cows head. If the first misses, the animal is out of it anyway and you can take your second whack.

Why Did Canada Change Our Salute

48th, my comments were not meant to be derogatory, as that salute does not look sloppy. Just wondering if it was a "style" which tended to be picked up over the years. I was thinking of it later on, and the picture in my mind actually showed that their hands tended to be tilted back slightly...
