Canadian "Support Our Troops" Ribbons, Bracelets, Pins, etc

I've been noticing here in Toronto/GTA more and more often cars on the road with the "Support our Troops" magnets and or stickers on their cars. I'm getting the impression of growing support for our troops which suprises me since I see Toronto as being on the low end of being pro military...

a friend, give up or stick with?

You aren't giving up on your friendship if you decide to carry on with your fitness regiment without your friend. You are just taking your personal goal more seriously then your friend. If he is any sort of friend he wouldn't hold it against you and continue the friendship regardless if you both...

    Looking At Infantry

Poke around the Recruiting forum on this site. You're bound to get all the info you need. You've been on this site for awhile, I'm surprised you haven't found all that you need. Physically you sound like you'll pass the recruiting physical test without much trouble. Initial training in BMQ, SQ...

Video of Gun Safety Instructor Shooting Himself

Doubt it, it's not that hard to prove a pistol safe. I guess this guy is out of a job even though he was tough enough to finish the presentation. He's lucky he didn't shoot anybody else other then himself. I was surprised at how the crowd was so calm about the situation like it was nothing.

On respecting the DS and respecting all board members.

I've got to agree with Mo-litia's general sentiment. People communicate in different styles so that should be taken into consideration and not deny them of having a voice on this forum. From my experience there seems to be more chance of misinterpretation in the written language compared to...

    Attack Helicopters

Hey Zoomie I just realized, don't the CF's do business with Germany? As for your "no comment". Come on, that was gold!... Alright, I guess I'm not as funny in writing as I am in person. :crybaby: You Flyboys crack me up, cheers!

    Attack Helicopters

It is sad, when I finalized my application paperwork with a recruiter she kept on stressing that my choice for Armoured was "Recce" until I nodded my head in agreement even though I didn't have a preference. At that point it nailed the coffin for me for tanks. Who knows, it may have a comeback...

    Terrorist returns to Canada

This Canadian PC bull is seriously going to bite us all in the butt in a bad way. When are Canadian's going to get fed up with being overly PC and revolt from this disease we call PC.

    Attack Helicopters

Why not? Aren't the Russians selling alot of their equipment off for real cheap. Canada can even pick up a bunch of tanks too! It makes sense to me. Just buy a label maker and put the english stickers over the russian labels, that'll make for a cheap conversion. ;D I'm guessing politics would...

5000 regular force over 5 years..... just a little question about that

IMO the stardards aren't high at all, if anything some requirements should be increased in level of competence. For example the physical testing portion of recruitment is too minimal in comparison to what is actually required of you during training and in your career. I know that they are going...

    BMQ to fully qualified Private?

Thanks for the info guys. I just took a look at the April 2005 monthly pay scale, the levels of pay scale for NCM aren't labeled as yearly like the Officers Pay scale but it seems safe to assume that it'll follow in the same suit. Just to show members of this board who can't find it I'll list it...

    BMQ to fully qualified Private?

This is in regards to Reg Force. I was talking about a Private(Trained). I was under the impression that you were a single chevron Private once you complete your MOC training. Excuse my ignorance but what's the difference between a "QL3" and a "Trained" Private? "As for Private (Trained)...
