RFI CPGear Side Tac Vest Adaptor

I contacted CPgear after posting here. They informed me they no longer made that product and recommend the front adapter which takes place of the bayonet

RFI CPGear Side Tac Vest Adaptor

Hey all, looking for info or pics on the CP Gear side tac vest adaptor that was made some years back.  Basically it was velcro on one side to secure to the vest with the velcro strips to pass through the metal buckle.  On the other side was 5 or 6 rows and 4 columns of MOLLE.  I'm looking to...

    Ever try Kydex inserts?

"What did you plan on doing with the flap?" Probably tucking it behind the mag as per.  I wanted to try something different.  At $7 each into 4 pouches is $28, or I could buy a sheet of kydex and do it myself, but you need a press to form it as far as I know.  After X-mas I'll look at picking...

    Ever try Kydex inserts?

I've had an issue with the flaps tucked in.  Could be the age of the vest and the material has stretched over time.  DS Tactical has KYWI inserts for $7 a pop, I'll pick one up and give it a try. I have a set of CP Gear behind-the-pouch mag inserts I don't use.  I had thought about using the...

    Ever try Kydex inserts?

Has anyone ever tried these? http://www.esstac.com/Products/556%20KYWI.php Initially I had wanted to install bungee retention on my tac-vest, but I'd want to try something a little more low profile first.  The insert installs in the bottom of a mag pouch and is made out of Kydex.  It uses...

    WTB: Camelbak Talon

I bought my Camelbak Motherlode off Evilbay about 3 years ago.  It's an older version in OD green with brown/tan MOLLE and straps.  If you are okay with used take a look, just check on the shipping and where it's from.  With shipping it set me back about $125, much better than paying full price...

What to bring to the Field- Tips and Tricks

I don't have a Jetboil, but I was the only guy in the section with Nescafe 3 in 1s.  Another good thing to bring to the field, half decent instant coffee.  Walmart in Pembroke has 3 in 1 now, but if you want to be a big wheel you can get Starbucks Via. I stored all my spare clothes in ziploc...

    New Rucksack

Yeah, I rock it with the clothing at the bottom.  I found if you put the clothing at the top when you take your sleeping gear out of the bottom it collapses on itself.  And, yes, the issued compression bag is a fight to fill properly without it looking like a macaroni noodle when you're done.  I...

    New Rucksack

Has anyone tried undoing the middle drawstring and using the ruck as one large bag?  I tried the other day but couldn't figure out how to stow the dividing material out of the way.  Also, has anyone tried a compression bag other than the issued one?

    Kifaru pouches on issued kit.

The subject sums it up.  Anyone try Kifaru pouches on our rucks or small pack?  I seen PhilB has the long zippered issued pouches on a Kifaru pack.  Just wondered if it works the other way around.

    WTB-Snugpak kit

E-bay, it's all about the E-bay.  Found a Camelbak Motherload shipped from Hawaii for $125.  Retail would be $255.  Do a quick search and you'll find a good selection of Snugpak.

Family Outfitters on the Hanwell would most likely have some.  Check it out in the phone book or PM me for directions.
