    CH-148 Cyclone Progress

Curious to see how the Cyclone project is going to affect newly winged aircrew coming in to the community.  There is a lot of talk concerning careers being stalled for 2-4 more years after receiving ones wings.  Baz, do you have any insight in to what is happening with the new ACSO's and...

ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

To ease a lot of stresses: 1) You can change trades while in ROTP.  You go through the Base Personnel Selection Officer (BPSO), indidcate the trades you would wish to switch to, and go through basically the same process as enrolling.  The only caveat is that you have to complete BMOQ in order...

    Air Factor Corrections

I spoke with the PSO, and was informed that this was direct from Ottawa.  What she told me is what she was instructed to do by higher.  She actually showed me the exact same break down, and was confused herself.  She also wasn't sure about a timeframe for this, and that's really what I am most...

    Air Factor Corrections

I am currently going through a Voluntary Occupational Transfer (VOT-U) to ACSO.  On my application I had 1) Pilot and 2) ACSO.  Although I passed the air crew selection testing I was not selected for pilot (limited spots is what I was told), but when I did the medical I was awarded an Air Factor...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

I am student here at RMC right now.  100% you can graduate early.  I transferred in some credits through the PLAR program allowing me to do so.  A friend of mine, another Officer Cadet, is graduating one semester early without transferring in any credits.  If you are willing to take on a serious...

Graduate Studies / Master Degree / PhD [MERGED]

This thread seems to be one people want to look at, but no one has any answers for....which is pretty disappointing.  I will try another question that may get some feedback.  Does any one know if it is possible to take an "academic leave of absence" in order to complete a Masters Degree?  This...

Graduate Studies / Master Degree / PhD [MERGED]

I am looking to apply to a Physical Therapy program across Canada.  Right now I am a student at RMC and have heard a rumour around the campus.  Can anyone confirm if a member of the CF can apply to Universities as a resident of any Province?  For example, if I wanted to apply to UBC can I apply...

    ROTP 2011-2012

Those going Civy U you will be doing a two week training period this summer at the MEGA.  It used to happen at CMR-SJ but you will be the first pool to go through the MEGA this summer and then again next summer for BMOQ. Congrats to everyone accepted.

    2011 Obstacle Course

This year Thanksgiving falls on the 10th of October, if the trend from last year continues the obstacle course would fall on the weekend of the 1st then, correct?

    2011 Obstacle Course

I will be at RMC Kingston next year, and it will be my Dad's 30th reunion.  I cannot find the date of the upcoming year and was curious to know if anyone had the date of reunion weekend/obstacle course for him. Thank you.

    ROTP 2011-2012

Recruit camp happens at CMR and I believe RMC.  It's a simple introduction to the military that Civy U students go through, it has nothing to do with BMOQ but gives you a little edge over any DEO in your platoon.  RMC/CMR students have a shortened BMOQ because of the military activities we go...

    ROTP 2011-2012

I had not heard anything, but I saw everyone saying that they had been accepted.  I called my RC and they had all the acceptances but hadn't started making any calls.  I fortunate enough to have a great recruiter who told me right then that I had been accepted.  Good luck everyone.

    ROTP 2011-2012

I am currently in Quebec, but will be in Kingston starting in September and cannot wait.  It is supposed to be amazing, and compared to CMR I hope so. Like said before, things change from year to year.  This year we saw an room rate increase, and with that a decrease in pay.  It works out for...
