Okay I took a closer look at the original photo, it's much clearer than the one I uploaded which is a picture of a picture. So is it a good possibility that my family messed up when they said this was my great grandfather? My great grandfather was born sometime between 1899 and 1906, the fellow in this uniform looks to be anywhere from 18-23. So I thought the pic would have been taken sometime between 1917 and 1929...

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify my Great Grandfather's uniform and the year/war? I don't even know if it's Army or not. He would be 100-103 if alive today, and was from Nova Scotia. Thanks in advance!
