Actually there is a cup that fits the Nalgene bottles. Stainless steel and folding handle just like a canteen cup. I use the 2 qt and straw for the warm months and my "thermos" canteen for the winter. Yah, the 2 qt is not the best option but it works for me.

Unless a C3 replacement project comes online soon, I think the Militia gun batteries will be in the same boat as the Militia "Armoured" squadrons. With the new budget hacking and slashing the DND money tree, you can bet the Militia ia about priority 84,263 for new equipment. During the 90's...

2 years ago I was the course WO on a BMQ (LFQA), and the recruits were issued MOB's. Not sure if this is still the case.

Not sure if this is relevant, but in the last month I've seen a few C1/C2's on flatbed trailers. First was in NB, on the highway between Oromocto and Moncton, then just last week 3 in Lachine, Quebec. Looks like the army is moving some of the old stuff around.

I have a powerpoint that shows the layout of the new Milcots. It looks to me like the CEV will have the same extended cab as the Artillery Gun Tractor. That means 4 guys in the back, plus 3 up front for 7 total.

I'm using a Berry pouch on the "admin" side of my Tac Vest, works great for my DAGR and aide memoires. I'm think of getting another one for the other side too, but I'm not sure how that's going to work with the 2 qt canteen I have in that C-9 pouch.
