Does anyone know how bad your eyesight must be to fall within V4 and V5 vision? All there is for v4 vision on the CAF website is that it is worse than 6/60 but it does not say just how much worse it can be. Would -5.0 vision still fall within V4 vision?

Are reservists deployed ( voluntarily ) for the whole duration of the exercise?

If they were coming for real they would probably use the Su-35 or 57 instead of the Mig-31. Then again, flying planes ( bombers, air superiority...) near an airspace is not the same as flying it into another country's airspace.

Although virtual reality probably isn't a widely used stage for the aircraft design process, some companies such as Pratt and Whitney seem to be using it. Beaverworks seems be planning to use virtual reality to see how the aircraft looks in full size ( probably because they don't have the budget...

So we don't have enough pilots and other aircrew trades? I thought we had too many people applying for these positions ( mainly the pilot positions). How are we expecting to man the Australian hornets and the permanent jet replacement if we can't man our current CF-18's and other aircraft.
