British PM Boris Johnson and Now Liz Truss resigns

Observation:

All this turmoil results in Ukraine losing its most effective supporter - Boris Johnson - and NATO and the EU losing their greatest threat - the rise of an independent polity within midst with a separate world view.

The aim of the JEF is to create a UK military framework, focused around its existing high readiness capabilities, that its partners can join up with. While it is the UK's intention to fully integrate the UK's JEF partners’ contributions before 2018, the JEF could deploy immediately if required.[3] It is designed with the following requirements in mind:

"a. act jointly and with allies, but able to act alone"
"b. be well equipped, but not tied to platforms"
"c. adapt as the environment changes"[1]

JEF = UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, together with Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary, constitute the Bucharest 9

These nations have been strongest in support of Ukraine and arguably dragged other nations to the cause (Hungary excepted)

They were pointedly at odds with the Western EU establishment, particularly France, Germany and Belgium.

So who does turmoil in Britain serve?

Additionally we might want to note the impact the US on the monetary markets and the efforts of the Federal Reserve to try and rein in the effects of US inflation - an inflation that impacts all other currencies.

So tell me again who all this turmoil serves?

Warfare and Competition by other means. Who are friends and who are foes?

Not just Boris…

Another one bites the dust.

Any bets on a General Election being called early?

General Election: When is the next one and could it be called sooner?

A prime minister must have the "confidence" of the House of Commons, which means they must be supported by a majority of MPs.

A motion of no confidence would see MPs from all parties decide whether they want the government to continue.

If Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer introduced such a motion, convention means that the government should provide time for a debate and a vote.
In order to pass, the motion needs just one more MP voting in favour than against.

If the government loses the vote a general election would normally be called.

It is also possible that the King could invite somebody else to form a government - someone who could win a vote of confidence in the House of Commons.

However, for a no confidence motion to pass Conservative MPs would need to vote down their own government - something many would be very unlikely to do.

Things are such a disaster in the UK that the Tories seem to be torn between a massive loss of seats in a GE (based on current polls) now, or if they will continue to death spiral even worse and possibly get wiped out in a few years.

The impacts of Brexit, currency value losses and global inflation are going to kill them in the next few years they may want to push it through on the Labour or another party and hope to ride to the rescue in a few years.
